Salihou under the magic mango tree.
We call this the magic mango tree because it is one of only a few places nearby in the village that will get cell phone reception. So each time we needed to make a cell phone call, one must back up under this tree.
There is another telephone opportunity in the village though. It's a service called SpaceFon that comes with a desk style telephone with a cell phone built in. It has something like an antenna on a 1 meter cable. It is kept in a cardboard box, and is usually sitting on a chair at the small store in the village or near the high priest's house.

In picture below, Emmanuel's handy work is visible up on the wall. On the bottom is a 9 volt battery, and the top is one of the LED modules. When the lights go out, snap the battery connector and we have light again!
