After church, Comfort and Hannah come over to greet. I show them the laptop with the pictures. Zena comes over from Have (Ha-vA). We start talking about the library project. There was some confusion about which version of the plans will be built. Zena says that the smaller original plan is what is to be built. We both go over to see George to discuss it. And she gets a progress report on building supplies purchased.
The village cares for many orphans, whos parents have either passed away or are very ill. George has organized them into a Kantata drum and dance group to help their self esteem, and they begin to practice in Georges compound.
They were to give a performance so then they carried the drums and we all assembled near the guest house. 12 girls all dressed up danced while the boys played the set of 3 Kantata drums. The bass drum is played with the left hand and a stick in the right hand. The others are played with sticks in both hands. Drum master Donkor guided them and later he played the bass drum.
After the performance, we took the pictures we will use for the orphans web page, and George and talked about that. Zena had to go, so we waited for a trotro with her on the side of the dirt road. One came in just a few minutes.
Noah, Emmanuel, Gameli and I started working on the orphans page. I helped Gameli upload, select, crop and resize one of the orphans pictures to use. Noah and Emmanuel worked on copying an exsting web page, and redoing it for the orphans. And Emmanuel typed in all their names.
