THE MAIN PAGE FOR GEORGE |
|
This is a page for the man him self, George. He lives at Jordan-Nu. This man is one of the bigsix and I may say he is the director general. It was due to his faithfullness that brought the white men to the Village and it has generate a lot of good things that people are enjoying now. He is ever ready to help you get to Ghana and you will see the wonderful village with a lot of funs. Contact addres and phone numbers are provided under the page for you. Try your best to contact him for directions and others. The world is full of poverty now a days. The greater part of the world (80%) is in poverty.
Due to this reasons, some people took it upon them self to help individuals or groups. The people will not just come to you and ask you of if you need a help so what you have to do is to organise.
A lot of people are at Jordan-Nu in a porvety, but the greatst problem is, who can own up to oganize them. Geoge own up now to organise that, and he started with some children and gave the name orphans to the group since they can't get help from families. The only thing this orphans uses to entertain them selves is drumming and dancing on local rhythm. The most popular drum for them is known as "Borborbor".
It has generated a lot of good things. This people do a lot of drumming in the Village (there will soon be an access for you to hear their songs and drumming on this page)
The elders says in our local language that, “Ame sia me fe wor fe le” (every body has a part to play in a community). These orphans too played their part well in the community. What do I mean by that?
After organizing them selves as a drumming and dancing activities, they used that as an advantage to entertain people who are on visit to the Village. Their was an American Peace corps Volunteer there by then, so it makes her happy to see the small children’s having those wonderful performance. She could not control her self any more than just consult the organizer and at the same time the manager who was also her counterpart.
They there for had a discussion on that issue, what the Peace Corps plan to do to help with the orphans. You know what; she said there is a group in her mother home America who are also interested in learning about this our local rhythms so she will like to invite them so that they will come and learn from those children’s. He also took the necessary steps to consult the elders about it. They all agreed on that and it is now left to the lady to forward the request to the group in America. She forwarded it to them and they also did not refuse to accept her request, so time was set within them selves for the trip. It was set to start from the 2nd August 2002.
Preparations need to start now for hosting the people. There was a house meant for accommodating visitors and it needs some renovation work. The community has to contribute some money for that and they did it too. All the renovation works had been done in the proper best way of the people.
It is time and the people now arrived. On the arrival day, it looks like a big ceremony that was going on in the whole Village and any one strand that was pacing by had to stop and watch like it was a video. The people enjoyed the way the whole Village with the children’s matches them to the High Priest house.Below imag lets you have some idea about the welcoming: This is just the biggining of this page. In due time, many things will be added that will be very interesting to read and look at. Table of content is coming soon so don't hung out, do your best to always browse the page all the time and I promise you will never miss it. In one week time, every thing at least will be ready for you reads, You love music? Then, get ready to listen to some of the local rhythms from Ghana.
